Oman Air postpones the launch of Najaf service

Oman Air has announced that its planned service between Muscat and Najaf, Iraq, will no longer be launched on 15th September.

All planned flights between the two cities from 15th September to 1st October have been cancelled.

“The decision was taken in line with Oman Air’s over-riding priority of ensuring the safety and well-being of all its customers and staff”, the airline said in a statement.

Oman Air spokesperson told the Aviation Tribune that a decision as to whether flights will take place after 1st October will be taken later this month.

Last August, Oman Air announced the expansion of its network with the launch of a new service between Muscat and Najaf, the airline’s first destination in Iraq, with four weekly flights.
